AI digital persona guide

How can an AI digital persona protect privacy?

Evaluate AI persona privacy through private-by-default storage, data minimization, third-party processing consent, revocable sharing, and permanent deletion.

Short answer

An AI digital persona handles deeply personal material, so privacy requires more than encryption or a general promise. Check that content is private by default, each AI processing purpose is disclosed, sharing can be revoked, and both source files and account data can be permanently deleted.

Private by default

Identity details, source files, draft memories, and personal conversations should be visible only to the creator from the moment they are added. Search engines, signed-out visitors, and invitees should not gain access by guessing a URL.

Send only the data a task needs

  • Use only confirmed memories relevant to the current question when generating an answer.
  • Explain separately what image analysis, transcription, and voice generation send and to which provider.
  • Do not attach identity fields, full conversation history, or unrelated source files by default.
  • Disclose provider, processing-region, or retention changes and request consent again when necessary.

Make sharing visible, limited, and revocable

Invitees should see only the scope the creator explicitly selected. The creator needs a current access list and the ability to revoke an invitation or pause the persona at any time.

Deletion must cover the app and its providers

Deletion should address source files, extracted text, memories, voice representations, and provider-held data—not merely hide records in the interface. If deletion is asynchronous, the product should show progress and a completion receipt.

Frequently asked questions

Does MadeMe publish my personal information?

No. Personal material and conversations are private by default. An invitee can access only a limited scope after the creator intentionally sends an invitation.

Can I manage source files after withdrawing AI consent?

Yes. Withdrawing third-party AI processing consent should not prevent you from viewing, exporting, or deleting source material already stored in your account.

What remains after account deletion?

MadeMe deletes the account and related application data. A minimal completion record without original personal content may remain as proof that deletion finished; see the privacy policy for the exact scope.
