This page explains how MadeMe handles your data. Core feature pages show only the brief notices needed for the action at hand.
Data we collect and use
Account and identity
Sign-in identifiers, display name, avatar, age confirmation, and confirmation that you are creating your own MadeMe, used to protect your account and establish a MadeMe that belongs only to you.
Data you provide
Identity details, experiences, views, memories, text, images, files, audio, and video, used to shape, calibrate, and manage MadeMe.
Conversations and feedback
Messages you send, MadeMe answers, supporting citations, ratings, and corrections, used to continue conversations and improve your personal version.
Security and operational records
Necessary request, upload, authorization, deletion, and security-event records, used to prevent abuse, troubleshoot, apply rate limits, and demonstrate that your choices were carried out.
MadeMe is private by default. We do not sell your personal data or use your private data for advertising.
Public-page and usage analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits to public pages. Our own database records the public landing page, source category, create-button clicks, and registration and first generation following verified sign-in. These analytics exclude memories, conversation content, full share URLs, and full query parameters.
A first-party cookie links a visit to the creation flow for up to 30 minutes. Our acquisition records are deleted during the next visit-triggered cleanup after 90 days; account-linked records are removed with account deletion. We skip this collection when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Unknown traffic is not inferred to be an AI referral.
App usage records
After you sign in and access a MadeMe you have created, our product events record a usage day in UTC and the latest app version and build seen that day, to understand return usage and troubleshoot version issues. These records are linked to your account and removed with account deletion. We do not store the full user-agent string, device identifiers, memories, or conversation content in these records. We skip this collection when we receive Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
AI and voice services
The creation form briefly explains the AI chat providers, data and purpose, with full details on this page. The confirmation is unchecked by default. Permission is saved and MadeMe is created only after you check it and choose Agree and create. Successful creation opens chat and automatically generates the first greeting. Text chat processes necessary data within the agreed scope without repeated prompts. Other features, such as voice cloning, have their own disclosures and consent when used. You can withdraw permission in settings; related processing stops, and using the feature again requires fresh confirmation.
Your first Plaza listing receives human review. With your separate permission for automatic public profile checks, later changes send the current and human-reviewed public name, occupation and introduction, plus the current avatar proposed for publication, to OpenRouter / OpenAI to check for risky or uncertain content. Memories and conversations are excluded. Requests pass through OpenRouter to official OpenAI endpoints, without a specific processing-region guarantee. Zero data retention is not required. Requests prohibit using material for training and disable response-state storage; providers may still retain data for safety, abuse monitoring, or legal requirements. Missing permission, failed checks or uncertain results lead to human review. No new public profile checks run after Plaza display is turned off.
MadeMe no longer sends new user-data requests to DeepSeek. Existing memories, conversations, and historical authorization and processing records are retained. Stopping requests does not automatically delete data previously retained by a provider under its policies. Current providers are listed below.
Text and memoriesOpenRouter · OpenAI
- Purpose
- Generate conversation replies or suggest memories from material you select for your confirmation.
- Data sent
- Current messages, confirmed memories selected for a reply, personality and expression rules; text and evidence excerpts from one source used to suggest memories, and the generated results.
- Processing region
- Related AI requests pass through OpenRouter to official OpenAI endpoints. Processing or storage in the EU or any other specific country or region is not guaranteed.
- Retention and restrictions
- Zero data retention is not required. Requests prohibit using material for training and disable response-state storage. OpenAI may retain safety and abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, or longer for legal or safety exceptions. OpenRouter retains call metadata; content logging is controlled by account settings.
Images and filesOpenRouter · OpenAI
- Purpose
- Recognize text, scenes, and timeline clues in images or scanned documents and create a draft for your review.
- Data sent
- A processed image copy or one PDF page, descriptions and capture dates you provide, and recognition results.
- Processing region
- Related AI requests pass through OpenRouter to official OpenAI endpoints. Processing or storage in the EU or any other specific country or region is not guaranteed.
- Retention and restrictions
- Zero data retention is not required. Requests prohibit using material for training and disable response-state storage. OpenAI may retain safety and abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, or longer for legal or safety exceptions. Images and files undergo safety scanning and may be retained for human review if flagged. OpenRouter retains call metadata; content logging is controlled by account settings.
Voice, audio, and videoElevenLabs
- Purpose
- Transcribe speech or audio from recordings and videos into editable text, or create your own synthetic voice and read replies aloud.
- Data sent
- Temporary conversation recordings, audio extracted from recordings or videos, and transcripts; verified personal voice samples, voice representations, reply text to be spoken, and generated audio for synthetic voice. Only data needed by the feature you use is sent.
- Processing region
- Uses ElevenLabs' global service. Storage or processing in a specific country or region is not guaranteed.
- Retention and restrictions
- Transcription audio, text, and logs are retained according to account settings and provider policy. Zero retention is not currently promised; request logging is disabled only for an approved and configured account. MadeMe does not store temporary conversation recordings. The provider must retain synthetic voice representations; voice cloning does not support zero retention. Generation requests follow account settings and provider policy. You can disable the voice or permanently delete the provider-held voice representation.
If a provider or processing method changes materially, we will update this page and ask you to confirm again when required.
Subscriptions and payments
An active subscription automatically displays a subscriber icon beside your profile. You can separately choose to display your MadeMe in Plaza, previewing the public avatar, display name and introduction before confirming, and stop at any time. This choice does not publish your full memories or private conversations or change existing access permissions.
When you choose a paid web subscription, Stripe processes your payment method, billing information provided at checkout, payments, and renewals. MadeMe sends Stripe an internal account reference, selected plan, and return URLs, and stores customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, plan, billing period, and necessary payment event records to provide paid access, manage subscriptions, investigate billing issues, and handle refund requests.
Card details are submitted directly on Stripe's pages. MadeMe does not store full card numbers or security codes and does not send your memories, voice samples, or private conversations to Stripe. Stripe may retain payment records for legal, financial, and security obligations; deleting a MadeMe account does not erase all payment records.
For App Store subscriptions, Apple processes payment methods, charges, and renewals. MadeMe provides the selected product and an internal account identifier to associate the purchase, and stores transaction and original transaction identifiers, product, environment, signature time, expiry, renewal, and revocation status to verify purchases, restore access, and investigate billing issues. MadeMe does not receive full card details or send memories, voice samples, or private conversations to Apple for payment. Deleting MadeMe does not cancel Apple subscriptions or erase payment records Apple retains under its policies and legal obligations.

Retention, deletion, and export
Reports store the reporter and reported MadeMe, reason, details, an excerpt of the AI reply you selected, and review records. Only authorized reviewers can access them. Deleting the original conversation does not withdraw a report; deleting either account removes its related reports. Your block list restricts access between the two accounts and can be managed in settings.
- Source data remains in private storage until you delete individual items or permanently delete your account.
- Pausing MadeMe does not delete data; it only stops answers and invitation access.
- When you delete source files, parsed text, memories, voice representations, or your account, the interface clearly explains the scope of the deletion.
- You can export a copy of your data on the Control page and permanently delete your account and associated data in Account settings.
Your choices and rights
- View, correct, export, or delete data you provide.
- Enable or withdraw AI and voice services without affecting your ability to manage saved source data.
- Disable or permanently delete an AI voice and delete the corresponding source voice samples.
- Revoke invitations, pause MadeMe, or permanently delete your entire account.
MadeMe is only for users aged 18 or older creating one for themselves. If this policy changes materially, we will update the date and request confirmation again when required.
